About Iris

Iris is a case management CRM for Canadian immigration consultants and study-abroad agencies. Client intake, case files, document checklists, deadlines, retainers and client messages live in one place — in English and in French.

It is built and used by a practising RCIC at HBS Immigration (CICC licence R707943). Every screen is shaped by a real caseload rather than by a guess about how consultants work.

Why We Built This

Case management software for immigration practices is not new — several platforms already serve RCICs, and they cover the federal basics well. Two things kept sending us back to spreadsheets anyway. Quebec, where CAQ, CSQ, Arrima and MIFI vocabulary simply is not in the software and gets typed into a notes field. And admissions, where the same student is tracked once in a school pipeline and again in an immigration file, with the documents collected twice.

Iris exists to close both gaps: Quebec work treated as first-class rather than an exception, and study-abroad admissions in the same system as the immigration file that follows them.

What Iris Does

Client files and case stages

One record per client, and every case attached to it — the program applied for, the stage it sits at, who is working it, and what is owed. Open the client and the whole history is there: notes, documents, messages, invoices, and the reason the last decision was made.

Documents and checklists

Each case type carries its own checklist, so you can see at a glance which passport scan, diploma, language result or proof-of-funds statement is still missing. Documents clients send by chat land against the case instead of in a phone gallery.

Immigration and study-abroad in one system

A student who applies to a college and then to a study permit is one person with one document set. Iris keeps the admission and the immigration file on the same client, so nobody re-collects the same transcript twice or loses track of which stage the file is at.

Bilingual by default (FR / EN)

The interface runs in French and English, and each user picks their own. A Quebec practice serving francophone clients does not have to work in English because the software only speaks English.

Client messaging that files itself

Clients reach you the way they already do — WhatsApp or SMS. Their messages arrive with an alert, and the conversation is attached to the right case rather than sitting in a personal phone.

AI assistance you review

Iris uses Anthropic's Claude to draft, summarise and pull details out of the documents and messages you receive. It is an assistant, not a decision-maker: a consultant reviews everything before it reaches a client or an application.

Who Uses Iris

Iris is built for licensed consultants and the agencies that work alongside them:

Technology Stack

Iris is built on Next.js and Supabase, with Anthropic's Claude models for natural language understanding and document reading, and OpenAI Whisper for voice note transcription. Client messaging uses the official Meta WhatsApp Business API. The database runs in Supabase's Canadian region (ca-central-1), and the application is hosted on Vercel.

Security & Data Privacy

Client files hold passports, financial statements and personal history, so Iris encrypts data in transit and at rest. We do not use customer data to train AI models. Each workspace is isolated at the database level — one practice never sees another practice's clients.

Our messaging integration uses the official Meta WhatsApp Business API, and all message handling complies with Meta's Business and Commerce policies. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
