Iris vs Immicase
Immicase and Iris both fill IRCC forms from the client record, and by 2026 that has stopped being a differentiator — several platforms in this market do it. The real question is what happens either side of the form. Iris tracks the Quebec half of a file that federal-only tooling has no field for, and keeps a student's admission on the same client record as their permit application, so one file tells the whole story.
What is Immicase?
Immicase is a case-management platform for Canadian immigration practitioners. Its public materials centre on IRCC form auto-fill and case handling for RCIC firms — filling federal application forms from data already held on the client record rather than retyping it.

Who Each Tool Is Built For
Immicase fits a consultancy whose work is federal and form-heavy — express entry, sponsorships, work permits — where the win is getting IMM forms filled accurately and fast, and where Quebec selection and student admissions are not part of the caseload.
Iris fits a practice where the federal form is only half the file: the client also needs a CAQ or a CSQ, MIFI is a second correspondent with its own deadlines, and half the intake conversation happens in French. And if you place students into programs, the admission belongs on the same record as the permit.
Why Switch from Immicase?
- ✓Auto-fill solved your typing problem but not your Quebec problem
- ✓MIFI deadlines and CAQ expiries live in a calendar the CRM knows nothing about
- ✓You run study-abroad placements alongside immigration files and reconcile them by hand
- ✓You want French-language client documents without maintaining a parallel template folder
Iris vs Immicase — Common Questions
Immicase already does IRCC form auto-fill. What does Iris add?+
Auto-fill is table stakes now — Iris does it too, and we do not think it is a reason to switch on its own. What Iris adds is the part of a Quebec file that federal-only tooling has no place for: the CAQ, the CSQ, an Arrima declaration, MIFI as a correspondent separate from IRCC, each with its own status and its own dates. Plus study-abroad admissions on the same client record. If none of that is in your caseload, stay where you are.
How does Iris compare to Immicase on price?+
We do not quote Immicase’s pricing on this page. Vendor plans change, and a stale comparison table is worse than no table at all — read their plans from their own site, and ours from the pricing section at withiris.ca. For a sense of the market: VisaNauta publishes a flat $59–$279/month band with no commission on client fees, which is the only published range we can point to without guessing. In practice this decision comes down to fit rather than a large price gap.
Will Iris fill every form my practice uses?+
Iris fills from a mapped set of IMM forms, and the map grows as the practice that builds it hits new ones. We will not claim total coverage of every form IRCC publishes, because no honest vendor can — forms are revised and the fillable PDF formats are awkward. Send us the forms you file most and we will tell you exactly which are mapped today.
Does Iris meet the same CICC obligations?+
CICC compliance is the price of entry in this category, not a selling point — Immicase is built around it and so is Iris, and we are not going to pretend we invented record keeping. Iris writes a full activity trail on every case, carries a projected destruction date on closed files so retention is visible rather than remembered, and can export a complete file when the regulator asks for one. We build compliance to parity and compete on Quebec and on admissions instead.
