Iris vs InfraBit
InfraBit is the closest competitor to Iris on language, and we will not pretend otherwise: it was the only RCIC platform we found with a French interface. But a French interface and a Quebec practice are different problems. Quebec is a second immigration system — a CAQ before a study permit, a CSQ before permanent residence, an Arrima declaration of interest, MIFI as a separate correspondent with its own deadlines and its own document lists. Iris models those as first-class case data, in both languages, and puts study-abroad admissions on the same client record.
What is InfraBit?
InfraBit is a Canadian immigration platform for RCIC practices. Of the RCIC platforms reviewed in September 2026 it was the only one offering a French-language interface, and it ships a client credential vault for storing the portal logins a practice has to manage on clients' behalf.
Iris vs InfraBit — Full Feature Comparison
Who Each Tool Is Built For
InfraBit fits a francophone consultancy that needs a French interface and values the client credential vault — a genuinely useful thing to have when your practice holds portal logins on behalf of dozens of clients. It ships that today; we do not. If those are your two requirements, it is a strong candidate.
Iris fits a practice where French is necessary but not sufficient — where the files themselves run through Quebec. A CAQ that expires behind a study permit, a CSQ file waiting on MIFI, an Arrima declaration with its own timeline. Plus the students you placed into those programs in the first place, on the same client record.
Why Switch from InfraBit?
- ✓A French interface did not solve the Quebec problem — the case model still has nowhere to put a CAQ or a CSQ
- ✓MIFI is a second correspondent with its own deadlines and your software only knows about IRCC
- ✓You place students into programs and want that history on the immigration file
- ✓You want a roadmap set by an RCIC filing Quebec applications every week
Iris vs InfraBit — Common Questions
InfraBit already has a French interface. Why would I move?+
Not for the language alone — on that we are peers, and they got there first. Move if the Quebec files themselves are the problem: if a CAQ, a CSQ, an Arrima declaration or a MIFI deadline currently lives in a spreadsheet because the case model has no field for it. Language is the surface; the province is a second immigration system underneath, and that is what Iris is built around.
How does Iris compare to InfraBit on price?+
We do not quote InfraBit’s pricing on this page. Vendor plans change, and a stale comparison table is worse than no table at all — read their plans from their own site, and ours from the pricing section at withiris.ca. For a sense of the market: VisaNauta publishes a flat $59–$279/month band with no commission on client fees, which is the only published range we can point to without guessing. In practice this decision comes down to fit rather than a large price gap.
Does Iris have a client credential vault like InfraBit's?+
Not yet — it is on the roadmap and we are not going to claim it early. If holding client portal credentials securely is a requirement you cannot work around today, InfraBit ships that and we do not. We would rather lose the deal than have you find out after you have migrated.
Does Iris meet the same CICC obligations?+
CICC compliance is the price of entry in this category, not a selling point — InfraBit is built around it and so is Iris, and we are not going to pretend we invented record keeping. Iris writes a full activity trail on every case, carries a projected destruction date on closed files so retention is visible rather than remembered, and can export a complete file when the regulator asks for one. We build compliance to parity and compete on Quebec and on admissions instead.
