Iris vs VisaFlo
VisaFlo covers the Canadian immigration file, IRCC form auto-fill included. Iris covers that file and the step before it. If you place students — offer letters, tuition deposits, program changes, deferrals — and then file the CAQ and the study permit for those same students, Iris keeps all of it on one client record. No RCIC platform we reviewed in September 2026 handles study-abroad admissions, and no education-agent tool is immigration-aware. That gap is the whole reason Iris exists.
What is VisaFlo?
VisaFlo is a Canadian immigration case-management platform for RCIC practices. Its published capabilities include IRCC form auto-fill from the client record, alongside the case, document and client-management workflow the category expects.

Who Each Tool Is Built For
VisaFlo suits a consultancy that files immigration applications and nothing else — no school placements, no admissions pipeline, no Quebec selection layer. For a pure federal immigration practice it is a purpose-built tool doing exactly the job it was designed for.
Iris suits the hybrid practice: part immigration consultancy, part study-abroad agency. One client, one record, both sides — the program they were admitted to, the deposit they paid, the CAQ, the study permit, and later the PGWP or the CSQ. It is built that way because the RCIC building it runs both sides of that business.
Why Switch from VisaFlo?
- ✓Your admissions pipeline lives in a spreadsheet and your immigration files live in a CRM
- ✓A student's offer letter and their study permit have no link between them
- ✓You reconcile school commissions by hand at the end of every intake
- ✓Your Quebec students need a CAQ and the software has no field for one
Iris vs VisaFlo — Common Questions
What does "immigration plus admissions in one system" actually mean?+
One client record carries both sides. The school application — programs applied to, offer received, deposit paid, deferral or program change — sits on the same client as the immigration file that follows it: the CAQ, the study permit, and whatever comes after. You stop reconciling two systems, and nobody has to remember that the student who deferred to January also needs their permit dates moved.
How does Iris compare to VisaFlo on price?+
We do not quote VisaFlo’s pricing on this page. Vendor plans change, and a stale comparison table is worse than no table at all — read their plans from their own site, and ours from the pricing section at withiris.ca. For a sense of the market: VisaNauta publishes a flat $59–$279/month band with no commission on client fees, which is the only published range we can point to without guessing. In practice this decision comes down to fit rather than a large price gap.
We are an education agency, not an RCIC firm. Does Iris still fit?+
It fits if immigration is part of what you handle or refer. Iris is built by a licensed RCIC and the immigration side assumes regulated practice — retainers, file retention, an activity trail. If you place students and never touch an application, you will be paying for half a product you do not use. Tell us your split and we will give you a straight answer about fit.
Does Iris meet the same CICC obligations?+
CICC compliance is the price of entry in this category, not a selling point — VisaFlo is built around it and so is Iris, and we are not going to pretend we invented record keeping. Iris writes a full activity trail on every case, carries a projected destruction date on closed files so retention is visible rather than remembered, and can export a complete file when the regulator asks for one. We build compliance to parity and compete on Quebec and on admissions instead.
